The ICON Bridge has been audited by FYEO as part of their security audit
ICON Bridge is an implementation of BTP, the cross-chain interoperability protocol. There are many blockchain platforms today, but only a few allow for seamless interoperation with their own chains. BTP opens up growth paths for the ICON project by allowing the development of complete Dapps and dApps on multiple blockchains and providing easy integration for developers looking to create more complex smart contract applications.
With our ICON Bridge product, we are fast-tracking ICON’s interoperability efforts to meet community demand. While BTP continues getting built, ICON Bridge opens up cross-chain activity and development opportunities immediately.
In preparation for the launch of ICON Bridge, ICON has partnered with FYEO to perform a security audit. An audit of any major project release is crucial, and FYEO’s security team will test the ICON Bridge codebase.
Code audit experts at FYEO include some of the leading DeFi logic experts in the world, with experience in protocols including Solana, NEAR, Ethereum, and Algorand. With FYEO Domain Intelligence and FYEO Identity, the company provides unparalleled security and addresses the challenges of today’s security landscape for both organizations and individuals.
ICON’s participation in this audit marks a significant milestone in its positioning as an interoperability leader. BTP Bridge allows users to bridge assets between members of the “BTP Network” in the first “trusted” implementation of BTP. We will soon integrate ICON with NEAR, Harmony, Moonbeam, and Ethereum, starting with a bridge between ICON and Binance Smart Chain.
FYEO will review the code for CMD/GO, Java, and Solidity. It is expected that the initial code review will be completed by the end of October 2022. A remediation period for code fixes, a re-review period, and a final report will follow.
ICON is included in the audit process:
  • They can identify current and future risks in their chain & contract infrastructure with a better understanding of its security posture.
  • What are the security measures in place in terms of maturity, adequacy, and efficiency?
  • As a result of our assessment, we identified potential issues, including loss of funds scenarios, and included improvement recommendations.
  • A better understanding of how to write and manage secure code. As part of the overall improvement of the project, security has been incrementally improved.

An interactive approach to FYEO’s work

A drive-through audit shop is not what FYEO is. FYEO Audits are interactive experiences that deliver updates in real-time throughout the duration of their line-by-line auditing process. Team members are able to save time, money, and reputational risk by learning from common mistakes early on.
