Building sustainable and engaging cross-chain communities is one of ICON’s core missions as a blockchain focused on interoperability. Their vision is to create a world where users from different backgrounds can collaborate and impact blockchain, crypto, and Web3. In order to meet this goal, they have expanded ICON’s Discord to include the entire BTP ecosystem, which includes ICON, Polkadot, Kusama, Harmony, Binance Smart Chain, NEAR Protocol, and more.
To create a dynamic community, they’ve designed an address registration bot that lets users submit wallet addresses for supported networks. Users may participate in special events such as giveaways, quizzes, NFT mints, and more from time to time. You are not required to register your address(es) to join the ICON Discord, but they highly recommend it to get the most out of your membership.
Supported Networks By ICON Discord
The mICON Discord Bot currently supports the following networks for address registration:
- ICON
- Polkadot
- Harmony
In order to register an address, you must first enable Direct Messages in Discord. You can do that by going to Preferences > Privacy & Safety. Enable “Allow direct messages from server members” in the section titled “Server Privacy Defaults”.
You can now use the /register-address slash command to register your address with the mICON bot (mICON#9635). In case you’ve never used a slash command, simply type /register-address and you’ll see a command menu like this:
There are two parameters to the /register-address command – network and address. Use the space bar, tab key, or left/right arrow keys to navigate between the two parameters.
Learn how to register a wallet address for each supported network by following the instructions below.
How to Register an ICON (ICX) Wallet Address
After typing /register-address
, type icon
for the “network” and a valid ICX wallet address for the “address”.
How to Register a Polkadot (DOT) Address
Type polkadot for the “network” and a valid DOT address for the “address” after typing /register-address.
How to Register a Harmony (ONE) Address

Note: ICON only supports Harmony (ONE) addresses in Ethereum format (starts with “0x”).
Summary
Upon registering, you should receive a success message followed by a few messages indicating the ICON MEMBER role has been assigned to your Discord profile. Please contact a moderator if you do not receive these messages.
If you successfully register your address, you’ll be eligible for future giveaways, quizzes, and other special events. Meanwhile, why not join Discord and interact with other community members?
